Cora Brotherson

Cora is a storyteller specialising in contemporary West African Griot. She uses edutainment and creative learning to teach traditional values and culture through the use of singing, music and oral history.  With over 20 years experience working in social and community work. 

Cora has worked in a variety of settings ranging from elder day centres, young people groups, families and has also produced live events. Cora is currently working with the mac on its Griot elder project as part of Aston and Newtown commission. 

Cora is passionate with working with young people and is currently exploring ways to further her practice by including outdoor theatre, community engagement and the use of technology.
